Alex McClain
WEALTH ADVISOR
Alex is a Wealth Advisor in the Private Client Group at Prime Capital Financial where he helps families and individuals protect and grow their wealth. He partners with clients to design and execute a coordinated approach covering tax strategy, investment management, and estate planning.
He began his career as an investment banking analyst, providing specialized tax optimization solutions to some of the largest corporations and family offices in the United States. He then transitioned into wealth management at a Los Angeles-based multi-family office, advising clients on the full scope of their financial lives. This background gives him a distinct perspective on how taxes, investments, and legacy planning work together.
Alex joined Prime in February 2026 to help establish the Private Client Group. He holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado Boulder, where he also minored in History.
Outside the office, Alex enjoys the rare benefits of being both a multigenerational Texan and Coloradan, escaping to the Colorado mountains for hiking and skiing when possible. He also stays active on the tennis court and enjoys managing his family's farming business in South Texas, which gives him firsthand insight into the questions business-owning families face.
