The Hagan Agency was originally formed in the late 70’s by Calvin Hagan who primarily focused on Life Insurance and began consulting businesses on a variety of insurance needs.
His son Merlin Hagan joined him after college to build the investment and financial planning services. Calvin’s son-in-law, Chris Newkirk, joined the firm in the early 90’s to help build the insurance business as they began to have great growth in working for businesses providing employee benefit programs. With that, they also began to consult on qualified retirement plans. That is when the brand name changed to Hagan Newkirk. Hagan Newkirk joined Lawing Financial in January of 2012. In April of 2019 several advisors bought the business from Hagan Newkirk and began to transition the brand to Prime Capital Investment Advisors that fall.
